I’m a total foodie and I love to cook and to bake. Being in the kitchen isn’t a chore, it’s something I love to do. My love of food go hand in hand with the inescapable fact that I’m a total feeder when it comes to my family. I get it from my Mum I think – she’s always feeding everyone too!
I’m pretty passionate about providing my family with a good home cooked meal every evening and sitting down to an old fashioned Sunday roast at the end of every week. I try to make as much as possible from scratch because I prefer to know what’s in the food I’m dishing up. I think a lot of parents feel the same way.
It goes without saying that I also spend an enormous amount of time in the kitchen so it’s just a good job that I enjoy cooking! However, one thing I don’t really enjoy is having to meal plan. I find it so tedious trying to work out what to feed everyone and how to make it all work amidst the different schedules and food intolerances. Being that I have to often feed six people with a large variety of fussiness thrown in, I do spend quite a bit of time planning recipes that will work for us all.
It is a bit of a mystery to me why I haven’t ever really shared any of my recipes or meal plans with you guys. This blog is a large part of my life but those two areas have never really merged for some reason. Anyway, I’ve just been writing my weekly meal plan in preparation for my Ocado delivery so I thought I would share with you what I have planned for this week.
I have often found inspiration from other people’s meal plans so I’ve shared mine in case you’re having a slight case of chef’s block this week. You never know, something on there might take your fancy?
I have a million tried and tested recipes for everything so I might start doing a weekly food slot on the blog with a ‘how-to’ video embedded from my YouTube channel. What do you think, is this something you would like to see? Let me know in the comments box below.
Lots of love
