When I started writing this blog, way back when, I guess it was meant to be more of a diary, a bit of a journal through motherhood if you like. And whilst it has evolved into so much more than that, I really want to keep those posts, those diary-like entries to remember the good, bad and the mundane. Because actually that’s what life is about isn’t it?
Each weekend I am going to try to capture and document our weekend in pictures or video format, you can head over to my YouTube channel if you like daily video’s or things like that.
This weekend we headed up to the Lake District National Park for hiking, biking and in true British style – a picnic in the snow.
The weather was kind, the children (mostly) well behaved and the tea and cake on point. It’s worth adding a big thank you to Grizedale visitor centre who served both soya milk AND the best vegan caramel brownies everrrr whilst my eldest bombed about on bike trails.
If you are looking for a pram / toddler / motability friendly walk in the Lake District, then I can highly recommend a trip to Tarn Hows, situated above Lake Conniston. The paths are wide and accessible all the way round and the views second to none. There’s a large car park (Pay and Display) and a place to spend a penny should you so need.
Camping with kids? Then make sure you check out my ultimate packing guide before you set off.
