Holiday-Sitters – Because Parents Need A Break Too

I am working with Holiday-Sitters as my sponsor for BritMums Live 2016. As both a travel blogger and a parent who loves to take her kids on her travels, this is a very exciting collaboration for me. I think you will agree that whilst traveling with kids can be very rewarding, it can also be rather full on. What starts as a fun trip can become more like a survival challenge if there is no way for parents to also get some time to relax. What if there was a hassle free service that allowed parents to find a reliable babysitter in a foreign city who speaks their language? Enter Holiday-Sitters!

Holiday-Sitters is a babysitter service for families on holiday in European cities. Started by two mothers who know what it is like to take kids overseas, Holiday-Sitters wants to help parents take a break during their family holiday. It could be that parents just want a quiet dinner, a walk on the beach or even just a night to explore for themselves – whatever the reason, Holiday-Sitters have you covered.

Through Holiday-Sitters unique and simple website, parents can book a babysitter as part of their holiday planning. Parents can look for babysitters according to their:

  • availability
  • time
  • language

Parents can also view sitter profiles, including video interviews to see what they have to say about themselves. Reassuringly, parents can then also communicate directly with the sitter online in order to get know one another.

When hiring a babysitter, trust and credibility are one of the main keys for success. Ela and Galit are not only co-founders of Holiday-Sitters, but most importantly they are Mothers and professional women who have established the company upon these values. Holiday-Sitters’ thorough background checks include:

  • verifying work history
  • references
  • education
  • credentials
  • criminal history

In addition, Galit Bauer brings with her more than 15 successful years of experience in Corporate HR, recruitment business and management, enabling her to hire only the best candidates as sitters.

Mia loves when Ofir comes to babysit,
they play, read and having fun together.
I am very relaxed and trust her completely,
knowing she will put her to bed on time,
read a story before and make a bath,
all in her lovely, kind yet cheerful way”

Holiday-Sitters’ business model is simple: they charge 15 Euros an hour, for up to 3 children for a minimum of 3 hours. There’s no sneaky registration or subscription fees lurking around the corner. Everything is designed in a way that makes the entire process as easy as possible for the parents, so they can focus on the essential: enjoying the holiday!

“Caring, sweet and competent, that is Fatima.
She is my 1 year old son’s nanny since he was 2 months.
Facts speaks out louder than words and you
should see how happy he is when he sees her.
I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

Currently Holiday-Sitters is operating in the beautiful and vibrant Amsterdam but have plans to expand to other European cities in the very near future. If you’re planning a trip with your kids to the family friendly capital of windmills, tulips and matured cheese, why not go to the Holiday-Sitters website: for more information. After all, we parents deserve a little time off now and again too.

I’d love to hear what you think of Holiday-Sitters. Would you use their services? Which cities would you like to see them operate in? Leave the feedback in the comment box below and I will be sure to pass it on.

This sounds like a good idea, love the thought of being able to get one night just me and the hubs on holiday. But I know that he would have huge reservations about leaving the kids. Hope you enjoyed BML16 and thanks for linking with #PuddingLove
